More Handmade Jewellery for Charity

I hope everybody is well and keeping warm, it is a little fresh outside isn’t it! It feels like months since I last blogged, but I am sure it hasn’t really been that long. It has been a little quiet recently with people joining the crafts directory; however I had a nice surprise this week when two more handmade jewellery makers joined the directory.

This makes a total of thirty-four handmade jewellery artists to join the crafts directory which is incredible and such great talent too! I am even considering splitting the jewellery category into sub-categories, maybe by jewellery type just so that it doesn’t become one great long list!

The crafts directory has now raised £476 for charity (so close to the £500 that I was hoping we could raise by the end of the year).

So many thanks to the following who joined this week, I really do appreciate you getting involved.

The first thank you goes to Beau Jewellery who designs and makes unique jewellery using a wide variety of materials including wood and glass beads, Millefiori pendants and Swarovski crystals.

The second thank you goes to Erika Price Designs and her Etsy shop selling beautiful lampwork glass and sterling silver necklaces, bracelets and earrings. She also donates all her profits to charity!

Many thanks to everyone for your continued support and don’t forget that if you want to treat you or a loved one to some gorgeous handmade, please visit the crafts for charity jewellery page!

Get a Movember Moustache Necklace

Yes you read the title correctly, the month formerly known as November has been declared as a moustache growing charity event by the Movember foundation in aid of Prostate Cancer.

The latest featured crafter in the crafts directory is Stars & Scars who is selling Moustache necklaces and for every necklace sold £1 is being donated to the Movember Foundation. These will make great Christmas presents for either a lady or a man, each moustache is hand-drawn and you even get the choice of the style of moustache; there is the Handlebar, the Dali, the Hillbilly and the Poirot.

Apart from the latest featured crafter there have been no new listings in the crafts directory this week. Onwards and Upwards!

Art and Craft Fair in aid of the British Red Cross

I hope everyone is well and preparations are going to plan for Christmas. I have added news of a Art and Craft fair to the crafts directory this week. It is being held on Saturday 11th December in Knutsford and is being held in aid of the British Red Cross. Further details can be found on the Crafting for Charity website page, so if you get chance please enquire about having a table or pop along for some Christmas shopping!

We have had one new listing in the crafts directory this week, so welcome and many thanks for joining (the first Polymer Clay artist to join the directory) to Ama Aqua cake toppers who as the title suggests make beautiful bespoke handcrafted polymer clay cake toppers and ornaments.

If anybody hears of any craft events or groups raising money for charity please let me know. I have been experiencing quite a lot of trouble this week trying to get information from such groups. It appears that nobody wants free advertising for their fund raising!
