Crafts for Charity events for your diary

I always like it when CraftsforCharity has an opportunity to become more than a crafts directory, and this week it happened on several occasions!

Several craft events, fairs and a new featured crafter were all added to the website this week plus a few more lovely crafty people have also joined!

The first craft event for your diary is a craft fair being held by the Crafty Covern who are a collection of artists, craftsmen and women that hold craft fairs and events. This is their first fair of the year on 5th March 2011 in aid of Cancer Research UK at Woodcote Village Hall, Reading Road, Woodcote, RG8 OQY.

The second craft event for your diary the Vintage Amours cocktail hat making workshop in aid of Cancer Research UK. So come on down to The Railway on Clapham High street on the 31st March from 12pm to 5pm and help us raise money for Cancer Research UK.

I also need to make a HUGE mention to Sherieann Jewellery who is supporting CraftsforCharity by donating ALL of the money made from sales of her earrings to a charity of your choice through CraftsforCharity. For just £3 per pair of earrings including P&P please treat yourself and help a good cause! Find her website here : Sherieann Jewellery.

A Cow!
Why have I used a picture of a cow? Well, I looked for a good ‘diary’ picture on a free photo service that I use and it gave me that! I thought it was quite amusing anyway so thought I would share it.

Several new listings in the crafts directory this week so a huge thank you goes to the following:

The first thank you this week goes to The Crafty Beggar who are a family run business offering beads, charms, jewellery findings as well as general craft supplies. They also run craft fairs in aid of Cancer Research UK!

The second thank you goes to Badgers’s Woodcrafts which is the baby of Gordon Quick and a division of Cards and Candles for all Occasions. Badger’s Woodcrafts create products from naturally fallen wood. Take a look!

The third thank you goes to The Knitted Duck who are designers of handmade knitted accessories and knitwear. The knitted duck are happy to take commissions and offer advice to other knitters and offer knitting lessons in the London area!

Phew, what a busy week for CraftsforCharity it has been and long may it continue! If you come across any craft events, clubs or groups helping good causes through their craft please let me know and I will add them for FREE to my Crafting for Charity website page.
